Cookies policy
On our website, we use a system to manage the cookies we employ on our site; it is called COOKIEYES (www.cookieyes.com).
In the banner that appears when you access our website as a user, you will find important information about cookies that you should be aware of before giving your consent to the installation of any cookies.
1. General Information on the Use of Cookies
a) What Cookies Are and What They Are Used For
Cookies are small files that a website places on a user’s device when the user accesses the site. They enable the website to function or remember the user’s settings, and —depending on how they are configured— they can collect information about the user or the device for various purposes, including:
- Facilitating and improving navigation and the user experience.
- Compiling usage statistics and analyzing user behavior and visits.
- Displaying offers or advertisements for products or services based on browsing activity.
- Creating a user profile based on their browsing habits.
When cookies collect data that allows a person to be identified, data protection regulations apply. Once a user is identified, certain cookies allow for the creation of a user profile; these are the most commonly used for commercial and advertising purposes by website owners or third parties associated with them.
b) Where Cookies Are Stored
Cookies are stored on the user’s device and typically save the user’s site settings, such as language, connection hardware, operating system, and, in some cases, approximate location.
c) Types of Cookies
Based on their purpose: technical or necessary cookies (enable browsing and basic functions: session management, security, traffic control, remembering form entries, playing content, or sharing on social media); preference or personalization cookies (remember options such as language or region); analytics or measurement cookies (enable tracking and analysis of user behavior to improve the service); and behavioral advertising cookies (store information about browsing habits to display ads based on the user’s profile).
Depending on who manages them: first-party cookies (sent from a domain managed by the publisher itself) and third-party cookies (sent from a domain managed by another entity that processes the data collected). When cookies are served from the publisher’s domain but the information is managed by a third party for its own purposes, they are not considered first-party cookies.
Based on their duration: session cookies (which collect data for the duration of the visit and are deleted when the visit ends) and persistent cookies (the data remains on the device for a specified period, which must be disclosed).
Legal basis. Technical or strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE. All others require the user’s informed consent, in accordance with Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and Article 6.1.a) of the GDPR.
d) Do we use cookies on this website?
Yes. On this website, we use necessary or technical cookies, which enable the site to function and allow users to navigate it, as well as other types of cookies that require your consent. ANNEX I provides a transparent breakdown of all of them, including their purpose, legal basis, duration, and how to delete them.
2. Legal Basis and Obtaining Consent
The use of data storage and retrieval devices on the user’s device (cookies) is governed by Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), which requires the recipient’s consent after providing clear and complete information regarding their use —in particular, the purposes of processing and the retention period— in accordance with data protection regulations.
Exceptions are made for cookies that are strictly necessary or essential for the functionality of the website, the transmission of a communication, or the provision of a service expressly requested by the user.
The lawfulness of processing data obtained through non-exempt cookies is based on the data subject’s consent (Article 6.1.a of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR), in accordance with Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
a) How We Request Your Consent
When you access the website, a notice (banner) appears that provides a basic explanation of the purposes of cookies and allows you to access this policy for detailed information about each one. From that notice, and before any non-exempt cookies are installed, you can choose from three options presented in the same format, size, and prominence, and at the same level:
- Accept all cookies.
- Reject all cookies, just as easily as accepting them.
- Configure cookies, to choose, by category or purpose, which ones you authorize and which ones you do not.
No third-party cookies or non-essential cookies are installed before obtaining your consent, nor are pre-checked boxes or designs used that make it difficult to reject cookies. Access to the website and its content is not conditional on your consent to the installation of cookies.
b) Validity and Renewal of Consent
Your selection will remain in effect as long as the selected cookies remain active in accordance with their retention periods, as indicated in Annex I, or until you revoke your consent.
After you give your consent, the notice may be hidden for up to 24 months, after which you will be asked to provide your consent again to comply with current legislation. We will always provide a link or mechanism to reopen the settings panel and modify or withdraw your selection.
3. Cookie Management and Withdrawal of Consent
You may revoke your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it, by clicking the permanent link to the cookie settings panel available on the website, or by deleting cookies from your browser settings, as described below. If you need assistance, you can contact us using the contact information provided in the Legal Notice, and we will help you revoke your consent or delete the data collected under this legal basis.
a) Set up or delete cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies by changing your browser settings and continue to use the site, although some features may be limited. You can find instructions in the help section of each browser:
- Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome (“Delete, Allow, and Manage Cookies” section).
- Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge (cookies section).
- Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org/en-US (cookies section).
- Apple Safari: support.apple.com/en-us/safari (Cookie and Website Data Management).
- Opera: help.opera.com (“Web preferences / Cookies”).
b) Private Browsing / Incognito Mode
Most browsers allow you to enable a private browsing mode in which cookies are deleted after your visit and pages are not saved in your browsing history. Depending on the browser, this mode has different names: “InPrivate” in Microsoft Edge, “Private Browsing” in Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari, “Incognito” in Google Chrome, and “Private Browsing” in Opera. This mode allows you to block cookies, but limits their duration to the browsing session. Check your browser’s help section to learn how to enable it.
4. International Transfers Resulting from Third-Party Cookies
The tool we use, COOKIEYES, may involve the transfer of data to the United Kingdom. This transfer is authorized under the European Commission’s adequacy decision —Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1772 of June 28, 2021, on the adequate protection of personal data by the United Kingdom, as amended by Implementing Decisions (EU) 2025/1226, dated June 24, 2025, and (EU) 2025/2574, dated December 19, 2025— in accordance with Article 45 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, dated April 27, on Data Protection, without the need for additional safeguards.
